My short documentary film "To The Core" is about the prevalence of C-Section births in Canada, and the profound impacts, physical and emotion, that it leaves on the mothers who have gone through it.
This is a personal story and my directorial debut. It includes stories of other C-Section mamas, eye-opening statistical and qualitative research and healing guidance from professionals working in pre and post-natal care.
This independent project has been shot and is now in post-production, thanks to the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts, supportive crowdfunding donors, my magnificent crew and the countless women I interviewed for the research and content of this film.
