Lisa Michelle has built a dynamic 20+ year career as a professional actor and singer, with over 50 film, television, and animation credits, and more than 600 performances in live musical theatre productions. She is also a proud 2x Canadian Screen Award nominee.
Most recently, she starred as Sarabi in Disney’s The Lion King with Mirvish Productions in Toronto (2024–2025).
Her select television and film credits include Director X's Robyn Hood (Global TV), Chucky (SyFy), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), Star Trek: Short Treks (Paramount+), A Sisterly Christmas (OWN Network) and Hudson & Rex (CTV).
In 2020, Lisa Michelle expanded her creative practice into producing. She produced and performed in the short film Rainbow Baby, which became an official selection of the Berlin Art Film Festival, Miami Film Awards, Toronto International Women’s Film Festival and is currently showing on CBC Gem. Lisa Michelle also served as Executive Producer for the feature film Pattern - official selection of the Montreal Black Film Festival, Reelworld Film Festival, British Urban Film Festival and more. Pattern is currently streaming on Apple TV (worldwide), Prime (UK) and Tubi (US). In 2023, she was selected for the Reelworld Screen Institute Producer Program, where she deepened her expertise in television production through mentorship, workshops, and participation in international pitch markets and producer conferences.
Lisa Michelle’s extensive industry experience has also made her a sought-after panel moderator and facilitator. She has collaborated with organizations including ACTRA, FIA, Toronto Black Film Festival, York University, and the Canadian Media Producers Association, among others.Drawing on her own experience as a consistently working artist, Lisa Michelle now supports performers at every stage of their careers. Through her coaching container, The Prosperous Artist, she provides high-level career strategy, industry literacy, and practical business tools to help artists build sustainable, empowered, and prosperous creative lives.
